I made my predictions not knowing about the TFONT, for what its worth. Looks like Yellow v Blue is the GOTW.
Fingers crossed we get no slippery balls in the rain.

Guaranteed victory Blue over Yellow. But Snyder, you ask, how can you make such a guarantee? Surely not even you, the baldest and beautifulest of us all, can see the future with such clarity of vision? I cannot. However, just this past Monday, I had occasion to go through all of Super Dave Z’s gear. I removed his genuine Saskatchewan sealskin receiving gloves, without which he cannot win.

I missed last week as I thought we were going to be on a bye week and little free time this week has left me with another short upcoming preview.

Quick team recap over the last two weeks:

Yellow: A tough loss to Red which doesn’t seem so bad as they were missing their top 2 players. Last week they took it to an undermanned Green. Chemistry is looking good between Dylan and Z just before playoffs but Jordan missing so much time isn’t going to help his teams cause. Despite this team’s record, Yellow has played very well over the last 3 weeks.

Purple: A tight fought win over Blue came down to the last couple plays followed by a convincing win over White. Tyler has really taken over as the top player on the team and Noah isn’t afraid to show it. Joe will continue to draw top coverage. Aiden is really starting to thrive under Noah and finds himself open constantly. The bottom block from team Purple is playing above their level and making plays.

Red: A close game against an undermanned Yellow put up a lot of red flags and lost a tight game to Blue. Mike was throwing in place of an injured Matt and nearly helped lead Red to a comeback. Reds offence still continues to roll. Their defence going forward will determine how far they push into the playoffs.

Green: Attendance has been an issue the last few weeks. Short players vs Silver lead to a controversial finish and although they were able to pick up players against Yellow, they still struggled on both side of the ball. Frank has not been playing at his usual level this year. Injuries have plagued Green this year.

Silver: A dominant win over Green but appeared to struggle against Black. Maybe Spack just had a bad game? Not much to say about this team. The best team right now.

Blue: Lost a nail-biter to Purple and another close win against Red. Blue is looking strong on both sides of the ball but decision making by the team will come with more experience. A young team has plenty of athleticism. Luc is playing like a top 3 player right now and is thriving being second fiddle to Nick.

Black: Defence has played well the last 2 weeks despite constantly missing top players. Offense has struggled however, the exact opposite of what I would have predicted at the start of the year. Both of the last two games have been close against good teams. Jelani is a playoff QB and maybe that will show again is a weeks’ time.

White: White was able to outlast Black in a close game but felt Noah’s wrath last weekend. When attendance is good, White should be able to compete a little more. Glenn was able to drive the field many times against Purple but was unable to punch it in the endzone. Glenn has proven he can stick with the top dogs when his team shows up.

TFONT Nationals is this week so I’ll take that into consideration for the final week of the regular season. Final match ups before Division Play.

Blue is a contender. Yellow is a pretender. At least for now. Nationals will only play a huge part in this game as Dave will likely be away. This game will be heavily favoured toward Blue. The lack of Z will be the biggest difference. Advantage Blue!

Red will be missing multiple players for TFONT and this will not end well for them this week. Purple is going to dominate and propel themselves into a spot to take first place. Matt, Bo, Mike. Three big players missing. Advantage Purple!

Normally I would favour Silver but this is another game largely impacted by TFONT. Spack, Jamie and TJ will be absentees giving a huge advantage to White. Silver was able to put up 30 on Red while undermanned but White’s D is far more favoruable. Advantage White!

Game 4: Black v Green (GOTW)

This is easily the game of the week. Two winless teams trying to avoid going 0-7 on the season. Jelani will be absent for TFONT so this may be a better matchup for Green than they had hoped for. Drew has taken over twice for Black but struggled to put up points; Greens year long struggle. This will be a close matchup and the difference will be Jelani. I predict a very low scoring affair. Dare I say Advantage Green!
Green 22 – 16

Going into the final week of the season here are the updated Power Rankings:

TFONT is sure to shake up the standings and lead to some interesting division alignments. You have to be able to beat everyone to win the title. Let’s see how this final week plays out.

If you're missing a QB and top two that score does look accurate. I think he called it right. Although green winning was called wrong. They have 42 points all season can't see them putting up more than 6 here.
