Because we have 10 teams with many new members, some of which have been less reliable than returning players.
Go back to 8 teams and you will have less issues fielding a team. Also, being at the field till 2 after the 12:30 game is annoying. The best part of this league was being done early and having the rest of the day to do other stuff.
Go back to 8 teams. It was just fine that way - having more teams should not be the priority.
